Burn those pounds off with Veggies?
Here's a first time book by Rip Esselstyn, a trim and fit swimmer, triathlete and Texas firefighter. He wants you to eat fruits, vegetables, grains and seeds, and cut out dairy products, meats, oils and white flour. He also wants you to read the small type on the labels attached to prepared foods. Be prepared, he says, to be surprised by what you're actually eating. For example, he writes that an eight-ounce glass of 2% milk is actually 37.5% fat.
It seems to be a relatively easy diet to figure out for a carnivore - just give up everything that you love. No meat, dairy or white flour thingies.
