Le Vin Rosé Not So 'Rosy'

Quoi!!
French upset over proposed Rosé rule changes

Rose

Winegrowers in Provence are protesting European Union plans to allow vintners to make rosé wine by mixing together red and white wines.
Rosé is traditionally made by leaving the skins of red wine grapes to macerate with the juice for a short time, which tints the wine pink. The solids are then removed.
Provencal vintners are trying to block the EU rule change, claiming that the change  would destroy a local tradition and ruin the wine's reputation.  A final vote is scheduled to be held by EU members on April 27.

Stock up now (but not too much... Rosé is best enjoyed young)
